De-an Ackermann is a rugby player from the Western Cape, South Africa that decided in 2019 to come to play rugby in Romania. He usually plays as an outside centre but he can also play on the inside or as a fullback due to his speed and good ball handling. After Buzău was disbanded he signed a contract with Dinamo Bucharest. He came to Romania in order to follow his dream as a professional rugby player and become eligible to represent the Oaks ( Romania’s national rugby team) at the World Cup in 2023.

De-an managed to adapt to the style of play, game rhythm and also the  climate  of the Romanian SuperLiga where he intends alongside Dinamo Bucharest to win the competition. Being from the Cape, he roots for the Stormer( Die WP), but more about that you can hear from himself:
